Throughout the gospels, we see Jesus serving. Among his teaching and miracles were countless acts of service, service to those who were hurting, those who were poor, those who were outcast, and those who thought they were unloved.

As followers of Jesus we are entrusted with loving others as Jesus loved us, completely and without judgment for who we are or what we’ve done.

At Duncan UMC we look for ways to reach out, help and serve those in need.

We meet regularly on Sunday night for Sunday Night Dinner & Devotion, during which those who are able bring the food and, anyone who wants to eat can come and eat.

We work together and individually on projects and paths of service in the Alex City area, raise money for missions through our semi-annual Boston butt sales, provide scholarships for kids and teens to go to summer camp at Camp Sumatanga, and send teams in service to the people of Ecuador through SIFAT.

We’re always looking for ways God is leading us to help. If you’d like to join in one of our existing missions, or have ideas for other things we could do to serve, come see us!
